Relationship between body fat mass ratio and chemotherapy toxicity in breast cancer patients treated with adjuvant anthracycline

Obesity is a poor prognostic indicator for breast cancer. One of the possible causes of poor prognosis is the inadequate administration of adjuvant chemotherapy. Most studies have shown that; If adjuvant chemotherapy is not administered in sufficient doses in patients (<85%) the efficacy is reduced. The dose related to the adjustment of the dose of chemotherapy in morbid obese is inadequate. Normally chemotherapy is calculated according to body surface area (by height and weight). The aim of our study was to investigate whether body fat mass ratio is superior to body surface area, which is the method used in routine routine, to predict grade 3-4 toxicity.
