Abstract (EN)
Conic Beam Computerized Tomography Assessment of Mini-Implant Sites in Adults and Adolescents on Mimics Software. The aim of this study is to evaluate the density of the adolescent and adult subjects' mini-implant regions that is possible to insert both maxilla and mandibula by conic beam computerized tomography on Mimics 15.0 program. MATERİALS The materials of this study is acquired from archives of Dicle University Department of Oral Diagnosis and Radiology. METHODS The conic beam computerized tomographic datas of 175 subjects are divided into 4 groups thats adolescents (between 13-18 years, 46 males, 65 females) and adults (between 18-35 years, 27 males, 37 females). The density of 6-8 mm and 4-6 mm apical level of alveoler cret between permanent canin and second molar approximal bone both jaws and palatal bone (midpalatal and paramedian) between the same teeth was measured. ANOVA ( Analysis of Variance) used for defining significance between groups and TUKEY HSD used for defining the which group is significantly different when significance is exists. RESULTS Mini-implant regions that assessed between groups are significantly different. Adolescent females have more dense bone than adolescent males and adult females have more dense bone than adult males, too. Adult subjects (males and females) have more dense bone than adolescent subjects (males and females). CONCLUSION The hypothesis of ' Alveoler and palatinal bone density of adolescent subjects due to primary stability are less than adult subjects' is confirmed. The thickness of bone template is similar both adolescent and adult age, but calcification (density) process of the templates are continues up to adult age.
