Human race has tried to make the grim reality of death look pleasant in his way. Humanity that believes in life after death have even believed that their next of kin, the ones they love and their leaders will contact them after they die. This situation has caused ancestors cults to emerge. This belief linked to ancestors cults has been one of the causes of the emergence of Islamic saints.The helplessness of humans against the nature has always caused them to search for safe, reliable, strong living beings for protection. When we look at ancient beliefs carefully, we come to the conclusion that the selection and acceptance of strong living beings of nature as the first gods is the result of this search. As death has maintained its mystery in human?s mind it is thought that death has caused some people to accept some figures as gods and that respectable people have continued their lives in the form of semi-gods even after their death. These semi-god humans have helped people when they are in need. These kinds of beliefs that some people who have had problems often have attained their desires by asking these ancestors for help. These ancestors have not neglected to haunt their dreams and tried to prove that they live with living beings.The name of these ancestors was changed to Islamic saints in the post-Islam eras. Rumors were high in the air about them and rumors increased and got diversified. Our aim is to classify these rumors according to their types, which were referred to and are still being referred to Islamic saints.
