Abstract (EN)

The effects of PGPR's on yield, fruit quality and plant growth is well known. The experiment was conducted in Adıyaman conditions to examine the effect of PGPR's on plant growth, fruit quality, yield, leaf nutrient content of organic melon (Galia C8 and Kırkağaç 637) cultivation in Spring 2011 and 2013. Bacillus subtilis (OSU 142), Bacillus megatorium (M3), Azospirillum spp. (SP 245), Bioplin, Phosfert, EM1, Bio-one, Endoroots, Sim-Derma and Spirulina spp. are PGPR's were used in this research. They are used alone and with organic fertilizers which are Çamlıbesi Bioaktif Compost, Çamlıbesi Liquid Organic Fertilizer and K-Humat for comparing with conventional (DAP+Üre) fertilizers and control treatments. Due to Galia C8 is earlier variety and giving early fruits and prominent on blooming and shooting than Kırkağaç 637. Whatever the varieties, conventional treatment was prominent in field measurements. The effect of applied plant activators on fruit quality parametres except TSS in statistical analyzes. Fruit weight is measured 1.25 kg in Galia C8 and 2.24 kg in Kırkağaç 637. TSS means, was measured 10.3 % in Galia C8, and measured 8.3 % in Kırkağaç 637. Total yield was calculated as 23591,6 kg/ha in Galia C8 and 22839,7 kg/ha in Kırkağaç 637. Different plant activators were observed to effect on different element levels of mineral contents of leaves (N, P, K, Fe, Zn, Mn, Cu, Ca, Mg).
