Abstract (EN)

The stability analysis of the western final slope in Kışlaköy open cast mine is calculated by using probability theory and probable occupational risks are evaluated. In the study, data produced from geotechnical studies carried out by EÜAŞ General Directorate on various dates were used. Slope stability was estimated by using both deterministic and probabilistic methods. The Western ultimate slope is safe under static conditions. In this study, the effects of mechanisms such as earthquake, changes in groundwater level on the slope stability, which could trigger a slope failure, were investigated. As a result, it has been understood that changes in groundwater level and seismic loads may pose a risk to slope stability.
