Abstract (EN)
Today, disasters,natural or manmade, put humans and living beingsat risks. In terms of losses brougt about by urbanization, population growth leads to very large disasters.Mitigation of natural disasters, in order also contains pre-disasters risk management and post-disasters crisis management need to find out the best way of disaster management.Due to increasing urbanizationand advances in technology, disaster management systems show paralel development with each passing day.Permanent losses caused by natural disasters on societyare aimed to reduce with legal arrangements made in the Turkish system.In this study, Turkey?s history and precautions taken against them were investigated. In particular Marmara Eartquake in 1999 which is the subject of this study revealed the stack of legislation to eartquakes and Disaster Management applications were made after 1999.In general, this study provided information on natural disasters, disaster management-crisis management and how they have been tackled in the case of Turkey after 1999 were described. What made this process was discussed at the level of organizations with legal regulations issued.Key Words1.Disaster,2.Disaster,3.Disaster management systems,4.Turkish disaster management system.
