Abstract (EN)
The main purpose of this research is to reveal the change in exports of nuts and dried fruits, which have a significant share in Afghanistan's exports of agricultural products, according to years. To reveal the export potential of Afghanistan's dried and nuts sector by examining the domestic production and domestic consumption, as well as to identify the opportunities and challenges of Afghanistan's nuts and dried fruit sector and to propose solutions to them. Besides, in this research, it can be counted among the other aims of determining which countries and markets the dried and hard-shelled fruit sector of Afghanistan is heading to, its world competitors, world production, and the possibilities of increasing exports. Nuts and Dried fruits are one of the main exports of Afghanistan product. According to the research of Afghanistan's chambers of commerce, every year approximately 100 million dollars are added to the government budget from the exports of this sector. Afghanistan's 2018-20120 export data calculated as the average of the explanted comparative superiority coefficients. These values are 0.43 for pistachios and 0.27 for walnuts and almonds. Accordingly, it can be said that Afghanistan has an export advantage in dried fruits but not in nuts fruits. Keywords: Nuts, Dried fruits, Export Revealed Comparative Advantages, Afghanistan
