Özet (EN)

There are genres in the folk literature of the Afghanistan Uzbeks such as tales (ertek), proverbs (makala), folk songs (koshyk), epics (dastan), riddles (tapthimatal, cumak), legends (afsana), anecdotes (nükte), lullaby (elle), pray and chase and old (eskiye), love stories, etc.. The epic of "Yazı and Zeba" is one of the valuable folk works in Uzbek folk literature. One of the most important features of this story is that it is told not only as a story, but also as a folk tale. Yazı and Zeba are known not only in Afghanistan Uzbek folk literature, but also in many regions in Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan and Tajikistan. These kind of folk tales, known as "folk poems", are still known by heart and are sung at ceremonies and Nevruz celebrations, despite the small number of people who sing them. In addition, in the villages in the north of Afghanistan, it is often sung by women and young girls to spend time and have fun in order to get rid of the boredom of daily life. In the Uzbek literature, this type of folk poems was called "sabzymån". The reason why these poems are called "Sabzymån" is because Zeba is a dark-skinned girl, because Yazı called her as "my dark-skinned (sabzyman)". Since the first person who sings poems in this style and meter is Yazı and said them for Zeba, Yazi named this genre "sabsyman". After he died, his quatrains and similar pieces of poems were known as "Sabzyman". In this thesis, "Yazi ve Zeba" verse, which has been sung for centuries among Afghanistan Uzbeks and has an important place in Uzbek folk literature, has been introduced. Key Words: Afghanistan Uzbeks, Afghanistan Uzbek Folk Literature, folk poetry, love story, epic.
