The level of protective oral and dental health knowledge of the patients who apply to the oral and denral health center : Example of Denizli Oral and Dental Health Center

The improvement of living standards every other day changes the needs of the people accordingly. Eating styles, cultures and food which are proper to permanent consumption and which are produced according to industrial society; affect the dental health of the people in negative way.The impossibility of taking away consumption encouraging unnatural food form people's lives gives prominence to oral and dental health and studies carried out on this subject. In this study; the effect of the Project started with the collaboration of Provincial Health Directory having bee founded in 2008 in Denizli, and Pamukkale University Public Health Centre and expected to last for 8 years; level of oral and dental knowledge of the people living with be examined.Lastly while there is a noticeable difference in the knowledge average of the people who are aware of the school visits which are carried out in the province of Denizli, we still haven't been able to a remarkable difference in the average knowledge of those people whose children attend the school visits. To sum up, we haven't been able to see a positive affect of school visits on the average dental health knowledge of people. Key Words : Preventive Oral Health Care Services, Oral Health Care
