Abstract (EN)

The aim of this research was to determine the effect of moral intelligence on organizational revenge and whether workplace spirit plays a mediating role in this effect. Furthermore, it sought to determine whether levels of moral intelligence and organizational revenge differed according to demographic characteristics. The research population consisted of academics working at Selçuk University. The sample comprised 372 academics. The research findings revealed that moral intelligence has a negative and significant effect on organizational revenge, while workplace spirit has a positive and significant effect on organizational revenge. While workplace spirit did not mediate the effect of self-control and conscience (dimensions of moral intelligence) on organizational revenge, it did mediate the effect of kindness and empathy (dimensions of moral intelligence) on organizational revenge. Difference tests regarding demographic variables showed that some variables created significant differences. In particular, variables such as length of service and position revealed significant differences in moral intelligence, organizational revenge, and workplace spirituality.
