Abstract (EN)

This thesis aims to examine the life, scholarly character, and particularly theological views of Abu'l-Barakat Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn Ahmad ad-Dardir al-'Adavi (d. 1201/1786), an Al-Azhar scholar, a Maliki jurist, and a prominent representative of the Halwati order who lived in the 18th century. The main sources of this research are al-'Adavi's collection of tenets entitled al-Ḥarīda al-bahiyya and its commentary, Sharh al-harīda al-bahiyya, written by the author himself. The study consists of two main sections. The first section, titled "Divinity," focuses on the proofs of God's existence, divine attributes, vision of God, acts of worship, and the issues of righteousness and righteousness. The second section is devoted to the subjects of prophethood and the divine nature of the universe. This section examines fundamental theological issues such as the possibility and necessity of prophethood, the nature of faith, the Day of Judgment, and its signs. The findings show that Adevi made remarkable contributions to the field of belief and that her scientific legacy constitutes an important richness for today's research.
