Abstract (EN)

In 1651, Ahmad Khani was borned in the district of Agri, called Dogubayazit. Before coming here, his family lived the village of Hakkari, dubbed Han. He caught the reputation with the titles, Sheikh Ahmad Khani and Hani. Receiving the first education from his father, Khani never married throughout his entire life. Yet. he lost his father in the early ages of childhood. His elder brother, Molla Kasim engaged with his upbringing. Then, Khani received 'ilm from many places in Anatolia such as Ahlat, Cizre, Urfa, Dogubayazit, Bitlis, and Van. After staying in Van for a while, Khani received his ijazah from the instructor of Madrasa Ataiyya, Mollah Cami in Hosap, Van. In order to increase his 'ilm, Khani visited many different places like Baghdad, Egypt, Iran, Damascus, Aleppo, and Bukhara. In addition to being interested in religious sciences, he was deeply curious about Astronomy and Literature in particularly. As a lover of 'ilm and wisdom, Khani wrote books named, Nubehara Bicukan, Eqideya Imane, Mem and Zin, and Divan in Kurdish. Apart from all these, he is the author of a few more books having remained controversial if he is the real author or not. Having affiliation with Uveysiyya, Khani did not depend on traditions/rituals of tariqats and abundantly used Sufi terms his works. By grounding his practice and prospect on divine love, Khani became a Sufi guide showing the most stunning form of Al-Insan al-Kamil in the personality of Mem and Zin. As a Uveysi-spirited Sufi guide, Khani thinks that instead of following the ego of human being, i.e. the mirror of Allah in the Earth, one should surrender to divine love and become Al-Insan al-Kamil by avoiding sins. In 1707, Khani passed away in Dogubayazit and his grave is located 500 meters away from Ishak Pasha Palace in Dogubayazit.
