Abstract (EN)

?Relationship Between Turkey and Iran at the Term of Ahmedinejad ? indicates when there are alarms about security in international relations, the self-seeking status goes on between countries and ideology becomes less important in international relations.Iran did not have many problems in international arena until 1979 revolution, but after revolution it has been becoming isolated from international society, it was given to emphasize to Islam in its national and international policies. For this reason, its relations with Turkey was always thought that as if Iran has an important role in antilaisizm propagandas in Turkey. Because both of the two countries have been thought as a threat to each other?s national political system, the relations have been gone instable in the shadow of the suspicion of the interference to the each other?s political systems. This instable relationship period had gone on until distraction of Iraq by USA, and in conclusion with PKK?s threat appeared again in North Iraq and in some areas of Iran, the relations have been beginning to turn into a collaboration firstly in the security area and then in economic and culturual areas. After Ahmedinejad was elected, Turkey and Iran have been improved good releationships inspite of all of the international public reaction to it for its continuing to nuclear activities and its getting to give more hard reactions to related with its developing nuclear weapon programme. We can say that security shapes all countrie?s main policies, attitudes and relations towards to other countries after basic economical needs according to Maslows basic needs hierarchy. From this point of view, both of the countries increase their collaboration efforts to take measures which PKK threat reappeared in North of Iraq after USA?s distraction of Iraq and possible USA intervention to Iran?s land. Although Turkey is against to Iran?s developing nuclear weapon, it accepts to usage of nuclear energy under control. But Iran progressively has been getting to produce the capacity of nuclear weapon. On the contrary, it points out that its main aim is just producing energy. If Iran develops nuclear weapons, even though USA an EU do not admit its nuclear activities, they can not take into consideration to interference to Iran and would try to convince it by using its ethnic differences. Beside this Turkey will start to produce its own nuclear weapon programme or probably will be contented with EU?s nuclear protection. Iran which has an important part of natural gas and petroleum reserves will use Turkey as bridge to send them to EU?s countries which need reserves. If there were not be any changes in this international conjuncture economic relations between the two countries would be developed.
