In this study, the biography and works of TBMM (Turkish Grand National Assembly) Honorary Award-winning teacher Ahmet Dumlu, who made significant contributions to Erzincan's cultural development, traditions, and social values, will be examined. Dumlu was born in 1928 in Erzincan, his father being Gürahmet Mehmet and his mother Nazife Hanım. After completing his primary education in Erzincan, he graduated from Sivas Yıldızeli-Pamukpınar Village Institute in 1946. He started his first job in the village of Kuzkışla in İliç district of Erzincan. In 1948, he married Mevlüde Yerlikaya, and they had four daughters named Ayten, Şükran, Nurten, and Gülsen from this marriage. After serving as both a teacher and an administrator in various village and central schools in Erzincan for 37 years, he retired. During his professional life and later, Dumlu wrote articles in local newspapers, organized and hosted TV and radio programs. He authored books in various fields, and his book on beekeeping was used as a supplementary textbook by the Ministry of National Education. His works include: "Tandır Bride," "Embroidered Headscarf," "Enemy Wound," "Heart Wound," "Mother Meysun," "Our Quince," "Spring Butterflies," "Orphan Hero," "Beekeeping," "Armenians and Massacres," "Armenian Rebellions," "Our Yunus," and "Notable Figures in Erzincan." Additionally, he was involved in social organizations and associations. He served as the president of the 100th Year Nursing Home Association. In recognition of his outstanding international services, he was honored with the TBMM Outstanding Service Award in 2009. On June 16, 2011, he passed away at the age of 83 in his beloved homeland, where he never parted, and was laid to rest in Erzincan Terzibaba Cemetery.
