Abstract (EN)

The present study aimed at investigating the crossover effect of an individual?s workfamilyconflict on the psychological well-being (i.e. life satisfaction, marital satisfaction andemployment-related guilt) of the corresponding partner. Support mechanisms, namelymanagerial and spousal support, and problem solving behavior were examined as moderators.Data were collected from 187 dual-earner couples with at least one child between the ages of0 and 6 years. It was revealed that woman?s family-to-work conflict was negatively related tothe marital satisfaction of her spouse. Regarding husband to wife model, man?s family-toworkconflict was negatively correlated with the life satisfaction and positively correlatedwith employment-related guilt of his spouse. Furthermore, work-to-family conflictexperienced by man was significantly correlated with marital satisfaction and employmentrelatedguilt of his spouse. Moderated multiple regression analyses revealed that problemsolving behavior of women moderated the relationship between family-to-work conflictexperienced by husband and the life satisfaction, as well as employment related guilt of wife. The present study provided an integrated model combining support mechanisms, work-familyconflict, and psychological well-being indicators in a single study.Key words: Work-to-family conflict, family-to-work conflict, crossover, psychological well-being.
