The effect of family medicine system on the quality of services provided by doctors:Case of Düzce

The aim of this study is to examine the effect of family medicine system on the quality of health services provided by doctors. For this purpose, focused to the consumer perceptions of receiving health services from family doctors about family medicine system and the quality of services provided by family doctors. Research population consists of Düzce City which used as pilot city for implementation of family medicine system. In this research, quantitative research methodology was used. In this research that used convenience sampling method and research data was collected using questionnaire technique. In the study, 450 questionnaire form were evaluated. Research data were analysed using SPSS package program. Result of analysis, it is concluded that family medicine system have a positive effect on the quality of services offered by doctors. Also, there is a positive correlation between consumer perceptions of receiving health services from family doctors and their attitudes towards family doctors. In addition, there is a positive correlation between the quality of services provided by family doctors and attitudes towards family doctors. Finally, the perceptions about family medicine system and the quality of services provided by family doctors were differed according to demographic characteristics.
