Abstract (EN)
In this thesis, a comparative qualitative research has been conducted on the perception of emotional ownership in Turkish and Ukrainian family businesses. Twenty generations representative from two countries participated in the study. In the light of the data obtained from semi-structured interviews, perceptions of generational representatives about emotional ownership and their views on continuity were interpreted. According to this, it is observed that the representatives of the generation of Turkish enterprises have strong and similar perceptions in the dimensions of belonging, social identity and psychological commitment. In Ukrainian enterprises, the family-business relationship is more functional and the cognitive aspect of emotional ownership is prominent. Turkish and Ukrainian generations on continuity emphasize the necessity of thinking together rational and emotional elements. It is thought that the relationship between emotional ownership and sustainability will be better understood in the third and next generations.
