A research on performance relations with technology application level, family values, organizational structure in family businesses

In this study, the effects of technology use level, family values, and organizational structure were investigated on the performance of family businesses where change is very fast, established in competitive and challenging environments. In this context, it is aimed to reveal the effect of technology use on performance and also the mediation effects of the family value and the organizational structure. In addition, it is aimed to determine correlation relationships between the technology, family value, organization structure, and performance. Knowing the relationship between technology use, family value, and organization structure and performance provides an important competitive advantage to family businesses with a great contribution to the country's economy. Even a small change in areas such as technical, economic, demographic affects persons, and then this change will occur in the organizations that persons form. This study is considered to be important and to contribute to the literature since the smallest influence affecting performance in an intensively competitive environment can affect the future of businesses. Hence the knowledge of the relationship between the performance and the technologyorganization structure-family value which is in mutual interaction is important for the company's competitiveness. For this purpose, general and current scales which their validity and reliability accepted in earlier studies were selected and used. The main mass consists of family businesses, and the sample is delivered to companies operating in Bursa and the analysis of the received data is done with the help of SPSS data analysis program. When the analysis results of the data obtained in this study are examined, the organizational structure has been found to be the influence of mediation between technology and performance, but the family value has not been achieved to the intermediary effect between technology and performance. Related to the one-to-one effect, it has been shown that there is a significant relationship between technology and family values, and a low-level correlation between technology and family values is a low level of correlation between family value and performance. It has been displayed that there is a significant and positive relationship both between technology and organizational structure and also between performance and organizational structure. On the other hand, a positive and meaningful relationship between technology and performance was determined.
