Abstract (EN)

Family Courts are a court of first instance with a single judge and a special duty, established by the Law on Establishment, Duties and Trial Procedures of Family Courts dated 09.1.2003 and numbered 4787. In Article 4 of the aforementioned Law, the duties of family courts are determined. Accordingly, the duties of the family courts are, excluding the guardianship (third part) of the Turkish Civil Code, the marriage law book and the cases and affairs arising from the family law according to the Law on the Enforcement and Implementation of the Turkish Civil Code, recognition and enforcement of foreign court decisions and lawsuits and works given by other laws. This master's thesis, titled "Family Court Decisions and Control Ways Against These Decisions", which will examine the decisions made by the family courts and the applications to be made for the purpose of monitoring these decisions, consists of three main parts. In the first chapter, after the structure of the family court is explained, the duties and trial procedures of the family court are given in general. In the second part, all the decisions that the family court can make are examined. In the third and last part, under the title of control methods against these decisions given by family courts, legal remedies such as objection, appeal, appeal and restitution of the proceedings, which are a legal remedy, are examined.
