Abstract (EN)
This study aims to explore the communication processes between the pregnant women and staff at Family Health Centres and the impact of communication skills on staff's performance. For data collection, surveys have been used. Surveys were carried out with doctors, family health workers, medical admins, cleaning personnel at 19 Family Health Centres in Sultanbeyli district of Istanbul and the pregnant women who are supported at these health centres. The collected data was analysed using SPSS (Statistical Package for SocialSciences). As defining statistical methods in evaluating the data numbers, percentage, average and standard deviation have been used. The average of the score of family health centres staff's commuication processess with pregnant women and their performance scores was found to be high as a result of this study. Communication processes were found to increase performance level. Also, the score of pregnant women's communication processes with the staff at family health centres was found to be high, while demographic characteristics were found not to be influential in the scores of communication processes.
