Özet (EN)

Purpose: Inflammation is explicit during Familial Mediterrenean Fever (FMF) attack periods. However, It has been stated that, inflammation proceeds except for attacks. This study has purposed to compare neutrophil/lymphosyte ratio (NLR) and thrombocyte/lymphocyte ratio (TLR) of FMF patients and control group during attack free period. Method: Demographic ( age, sex, parental consanguinity, existance of FMF in family), clinic (age of onset of symptoms, diagnose age, symptoms during attacks, colchicine dose) and laboratory ( neutrophil, thrombocyte and lymphocyte counts, NLR and TLR, genetic mutation status) characteristics of FMF diagnosed 93 child patient with age of 1-18, whom incline in Dicle university child nephrology and rheumatology department. Complete blood count values of control group, those are constituted from healthy population that has similar age and sex characteristics with patients, have been recorded. Findings : 93 (42 Male/51 Female) cases to the patient group, 81 (39 Male/42 Female) cases to the control group, were included to this study. The mean age of onset of symptoms within patients were 4.65±3.30, whereas their mean diagnose age were 6.5±3.5 . While, the family history of the patients were questioned, It has revealed that the ratio of parental consanquinity was %23.7, whereas, the existance ratio of FMF in family was %50.5. According to clinic evaluation values, most common indication was abdominal pain (%98.9), whereas second most common indication was fever (%88.2). Another clinical signs were ; arthralgia %39.1, vomitus %22.6, myalgia %18.3, arthritis %16.1, throacodynia %14, diarrheae %12.9, rash %11.8. While, the results of genetic analysis were examined, it has assigned that most common genotype was E148Q heterozygote (%8.6), whereas the second most common genotype was R202Q heterozygote. While, the laboratory parameters of study group were examined, it has assigned that , leukocyte count, thrombocyte count, neutrophil count, lymphocyte count, NLR and TLR values were similar between patient and control groups. Conclusion: According to the our results, it seems that, platelet/lymphocyte and neutrophil/lymphocyte ratios are not convenient to use as biological indicators for inflammation in attack free periods. Keywords: Familial Mediterrenean fever, thrombocyte/lymphocyte ratio, nuetrophil/lymphocyte ratio, inflammation .
