Abstract (EN)

In this study, AISI 4140 steel material with a diameter of 50 mm and a length of 250 mm was processed on a CNC lathe. Depending on the material with different parameters; Machining experiments were carried out at 3 different cutting speeds, 3 different feed rates and 3 different depths of cut, and surface roughness values were measured. Measurements were made immediately after the experiments to ensure that the oxide layer that would form on the surface roughness value would not affect the measurement results. The surface roughness value was measured from 3 different points and the values were averaged. The cutting process in the CNC machine was done under dry cutting conditions. A vibration measuring device placed on the mirror was used to measure the vibration values occurring on the bench mirror. In the study, mathematical models of the machining parameters were created and the most effective parameters on the surface roughness in the turning process were the feed rate, depth of cut and the effect ratio of the feed amount.
