The determination of the opinions and the attitudes of the academic personnel towards the studies of the quality carried out in the Kırşehir Ahi Evran University

The main purpose of this study is to examine the thoughts and attitudes of academic personnel working in the University of Ahi Evran in Kırşehir towards the quality studies carried out at the university. In this study a sequential descriptive pattern model was used and firstly; in the scope of the quantitative research, 222 academic personnels working at Kırşehir Ahi Evran University and accepting to participate in the study were interviewed using face-to-face survey technique. The data obtained within the scope of quantitative research had been analyzed and in order to support this data, qualitative research stage was started. Phenomenology pattern was preferred within the scope of qualitative research and in-depth interviews were conducted with 20 academic personnels determined by used criterion sampling from purposeful sampling methods and maximum diversity sampling methods. The scale and semi-structured interview forms used for data collection in the study were created by the researcher using the literature and expert opinions. There are 20 questions in the scale used in the quantitative research. The answers given to the questions are in 5-point Likert style; it was graded as 1- Strongly disagree and 5-Strongly agree. Data collected in the study were uploaded to SPSS program and descriptive statistics, normal distribution test, independent-samples t test, one way ANOVA and pearson correlation analysis were performed on the collected data. The semi-structured interview form used in the qualitative research included 11 open-ended questions. Interviews were recorded with the permission of the participants and the participants were given nick names. Content analysis was conducted in the interviews made with the participants, 3 themes, 6 sub themes and 155 codes were created. As a result of the mixed reseaarch, it was determined that some aspects of opinions and attitudes of the academic personnels towards Quality studies carried out at Kırşehir Ahi Evran University were positive and some aspects of them were negative.
