As a result of the research, it has been determined that there are many factors interacting with each other that enable students to demonstrate academic resilience by coping with the diffuculties caused by socioeconomic disadvantage. It has been seen that, academic resilient students like reading books, they are planned and persistent. Students believe that success can be achieved by making an effort. They have goals for the future and their goals are sources of personal and social motivation for them. It has been found that, student's family, teachers, friends, kinship and neighborly relations, function as protective factors by reducing the negative effects of diffucult living conditions or contributing to the development of personal competences, with the support and opportunities they offer. Families' high expectations, the value of education, their belief that success can be achieved by making an effort, their educational supportive practices and the suportive family environment with peaceful and warm relations and rules contribute to the success of students. The teaching practices shaped by teachers' high expectations and the caring relationships they established with their students contribute to the success and resilince of the students. It was seen that, students mostly take their family memebers as role models, a few students take famous people and their friends as role models. Students take as example determination and diligence of these people. Extracurricular activities that help students develop a variety of skills and provide meaningful participation opportunities support students' resilience.
