Abstract (EN)
The concept of multivariate statistical analysis is expressed as a set of methods that allow concurrent analysis of multiple dependent variables together with one or more independent variables that are related to each other. The purpose of multivariate statistical analysis is to size reduction, classification of units, hypothesis testing, and examination of dependency structure. In this direction, Factor Analysis and Clustering Analysis of the multivariate statistical methods enabling the realization of the purposes mentioned in this study are theoretically handled, and the basic features of the methods and their benefits are given. After the theoretical parts of the study, it is suggested that these methods are used to determine the degree of burnout and job satisfaction of the selected academicians by chance sampling method, such as age, gender, marital status, number of children, income, state or private university working status, to determine whether they differ significantly in terms of variables. It also aims to compare the working conditions of the state and private universities by determining the effect of burnout on job satisfaction. Maslach Burnout Inventory and Hackman and Oldham Business Satisfaction Scale were used to measure the burnout levels of academics. The validity of both the burnout and job satisfaction scales was tested by determining the sub-factors of the burnout scale. The t-test and the ANOVA test were used to examine the effects of demographic variables on job satisfaction and burnout. Clustering analysis was performed according to burnout sub-dimensions and job satisfaction score obtained as a result of factor analysis. Burnout level was highest and lowest, or job satisfaction level was highest and lowest group was determined and explained. The working status of the academics in the obtained clusters at the state university or at the private university was determined as a percentage. Finally, the regression analyzes examined the effects of burnout on job satisfaction and the extent of the effect of participating academics on job satisfaction of state or private university working conditions. The findings were interpreted taking into consideration the conditions of the field and the research, and suggestions were made regarding the results. Keywords: Burnout, job satisfaction, factor analysis, cluster analysis.
