Abstract (EN)
A detailed study was carried out on climate, global climate change, disasters caused by climate change and drought in the master's thesis study on the drought feature of the Akçay basin downstream (Finike/Antalya) and the determination of potential areas where water can be harvested. Some drought indices that help in determining the drought characteristics of a region are emphasized and the most commonly used standardized precipitation index and the drought characteristics of the "Akçay basin downstream", which is determined as the study area, have been determined. Then, the second step of the study, water management, water resources and water harvesting systems are mentioned. At the point of establishing these systems, various methods and tools have been used to calculate where to get the most efficiency. Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) method was used. This method is one of the multi-criteria decision making methods. In addition, geographic information systems, which are used as a tool for spatial analysis, have helped to complete the study at the point of identifying potential areas where water harvesting can be done. First of all, 6 criteria were determined by considering the geographical and meteorological characteristics of the area at the point of using the AHP method. These criteria were: land use, river distance status, geology, slope, precipitation amount and temperature. By calculating the criteria weights with the analytical hierarchy process method, it was seen that the precipitation criterion took the most importance, followed by slope, river distance, geology, temperature and land use, respectively. For each of these criteria, classified maps were created through geographic information systems and weighted overlap analysis was performed. Looking at the overall study, it has been determined that the study area is strongly suitable for water harvesting at a rate of 23%. In addition, there are moderately suitable, lowly suitable and completely unsuitable areas. Keywords: Climate change, drought, rainwater harvesting, ahp, cbs
