Abstract (EN)

In this study, we aimed to determine spesific, nonspesific skin alterations, paraneoplastic dermatoses and skin alterations that may occur due to chemotherapy in patients with lung, breast, over, gastrointestinal system malignities and Hodgkin, non-Hodgkin lymphoma, which are most commonly encountered diseases in societyA total of 193 patients treated of Dicle University Hospital were included into the study: 63 (32,6%) were with gastrointestinal system malignity, 43 (24,3%) with breast malignity, 34 (17,6%) with lung malignity, 31 (16,1%) with Hodgkin and non-Hodgkin lymphoma, and 22 (11,4%) with over malignity. Detailed dermatologic examinations of the patients were made, and all the result were recorded in study forms. In the evaluation of data, chi-square test was usedOf 193 patients involved in to the study, 102 (52,8%) were famale and 91 (47,2%) were male. Mean age of the patients was 50,32±14,2. In 6 of the patients included in the study, paraneoplastic dermatoses were determined: Leser-Trelat finding in 3 cases, acanthosis nigricans in 2 cases and dermatomyositis in 1 case. In all of these patients, paraneoplastic dermatoses had occured prior to their main illnesses. On the lesions of 2 cases with acanthosis nigricans, a lot of molluscum pendilums were determined. Alopesi due to chemoterapy was observed most in patients with breast malignity. On a total of 8 patients, skin metastases due to internal malign disease were seen: 3 with breast malignity, 1 lung malignity and 4 cases with gastrointestinal system malignity. Metastases were mostly in the form nodular lesions. We determined ichthyosiform alterations in 11,9% of the patients, itching in 24,9%, dryness in skin in 26,9%, oral mucosal alterations in 44% and nail alterations in 67,9%; however, we could not find any statistically significant difference between internal malignities and patients with Hodgkin and non-Hodgkin lymphomas in terms of these findings. Chronic hand egzema was observed in 20 cases (10,4%), neurodermatitis in 6 cases (3,1%), psoriasis in 5 cases (2,6%), vitiligo in 4 cases (2,1%), and verruca vulgaris in 2 cases (1%). The rates obtained seemed to be compatible with prevalence of these diseases in societyIn conslusion, paraneoplastic dermatosis was observed in 6 of 193 patients included into the study, whereas skin metastasis we determined in 8 patients. No significant difference was found between other non-spesific skin findings and malign diseases in terms of some benign dermatoses commonly encountered in society.
