Abstract (EN)

Objective: It was aimed to examine quality control protocols for linear accelerator devices equipped with standard and new technologies and developed devices with reference to various sources created by different international organizations. Method: Reports published by international organizations and different sources have been examined. Quality control tests to be performed in advanced technology linear accelerators have been reviewed in addition to standard tests identified in the AAPM report 142 and routinely used in quality control processes in clinics. As a result of the literature review, parameters that should be added to quality control procedures were determined in clinics for complex treatments, taking into account the uncertainties of existing dosimetry equipment. Daily, weekly and monthly quality control protocols were established for VMAT capable linear accelerators. Results: The limitations of the quality control tests YART and VMAT techniques in the literature compared to the limits of the quality control tests which linacs have standart technology seen that difference for limit values of mechanical components and multi leaf collimator (MLC) No other limit was found for other tests except these parameters. Conclusion: As a result, it was concluded that the daily quality control tests of intermediate linear accelerators were sufficient for high-tech devices. Weekly and monthly tests were required to include additional tests related to the MLC system and variable dose rates. Furthermore, in the evaluation of the test limits, it has been determined that the error tolerances of the used measuring equipments are also important and should be taken into consideration. Key words: Quality assuerance, Quality control, Linac, VMAT.
