Determination of the strength of constructional components of agricultural buildings in Agriculture Faculty of Akdeniz University by non-destructive method

Abstract (EN)
In order to a structure to be of the desired quality, the project and the application must be perfect, primarily. That is, the construction projects must be perfect in terms of the technique, construction, function and size. In addition, the project must be applied by technical staff in accordance with technical conditions and standards. In this study, it was aimed to determine to current strength of the constructional components of agricultural buildings within Agricultural Faculty of Akdeniz University and situation of the reinforcement steel used in these constructional components with non-destructive methods. For this, N 34 type Rebound hammer (Schmidt Rebound hammer test / concrete hardness tester) with impact energy of 225 kgxm and 40000 measuring capacity "profometer 5 rebar locator" brand reinforcement device was used. In study, using rebound hammer to determine the current strengths of constructional component such as foundations, columns, beams, slabs and walls of plant production, animal production structures and other structures in Faculty of Agriculture. Then obtained readings were evaluated according to "Article 9" of TS EN 13791 Standard and the strength values and concrete grades were determined. Then, the diameter and number of longitudinal reinforcement steel, the diameter and interval of transverse reinforcement steel and concrete cover thickness in these structural elements by using cover meter (cover meter test / profometer rebar locator) were determined. Thus, the results obtained according to both methods used were reported and tables and graphs related to the strength states of existing structures were created. At the end of the study, according to the results obtained by using rebound hammer the lowest concrete class was found as C8 with 9.1 MPa, while the highest concrete class as C40 with 35.62 MPa was found. In addition according to the results obtained by using covermeter, the diameter of the reinforcement were among Ø8 mm - Ø24 (Ø16 mm ± 8 mm) and the thickness of cover were among 3 mm - 100 mm was found in constructional component.
