Abstract (EN)
92% of Turkey's population lives in cities and the surrounding areas. Urbanization is a major problem in our country. Municipalities face problems such as the renewal of infrastructure systems, which are increasing and aging due to urbanization, are constantly searching for more effective methods to analyze the data in their cities, to predict the problems in advance and to solve these problems. Due to the increase in urbanization around the world, people's daily needs and means of accessing from one point to another, vehicles are indispensable. As a result of this need, the number of vehicles in traffic is increasing day by day. The number of vehicles registered to traffic in Turkey was 23 million as of December 2018. In the province of Antalya, number of vehicles has reached to 1 million 60 thousand 419. Antalya ranks 4th in number of vehicles. Research has been accelerating recently for intelligent traffic, which can help prevent congestion in the ever-increasing transport network, providing optimal travel time with the most favorable travel time. In this study, in order to provide a different perspective to the traffic problem and to examine the relationship between the average speed of buses and waiting times on traffic, using GPS data, the movements of the public transportation vehicles are examined by machine learning and classification methods. The study was conducted in Aksu, Döşemealtı, Kepez, Konyaaltı, Muratpaşa districts.
