Abstract (EN)
The focus of this research is the tiles used in the Court built by I. Alâeddin Keykubad in Alanya Castle. Tiles, one of the most important works of Anatolian Seljuk art, were also used in the Seljuk Court in Alanya. As a result of the excavations that have been going on in Alanya Castle since 1985, the tiles of the Alanya Court have come to light. The tiles obtained as a result of these excavations are kept in the warehouse of the Alanya Castle Excavation Department and in the Alanya Museum. 467 of these tiles, which are an important part of Anatolian Seljuk architectural art, were examined. During this review, many features of the tiles, especially the techniques, forms and compositions, were examined and explained in detail. It has been determined that the tiles of the Alanya Seljuk palace are not different from the tiles of the other courts of the Seljuks in terms of technique, composition, form, same ornamentation understanding continue, the similar ornaments with vegetal and figural decorations used in the Seljuk palace tiles are also found in the Alanya Palace tiles although there are also a small number of geometric ornamented tiles. By examining the tiles unearthed at the end of the excavations in Alanya Court, a typological evaluation of the findings was carried out, thus contributing to a better understanding of the use of tiles in Anatolian Seljuk Art.
