Abstract (EN)

In this study of Albert of Aachen's Historia Ierosolimitana, one of the most detailed and important narratives of the First Crusade, the First Crusade has been briefly presented, and then Albertus's work has been studied in details. His-toria has also been compared with other contemporary sources. The first volume of Albert of Aachen's work, which is consist of two volumes, begins with the call for the Holy War and ends on Crusader leaders' returning their homes after the Battle of Ascalon. Since the Crusader activities in this period do not take place as much as necessary in the Islamic sources, it is vital to examine and evaluate the Western sources. As a result, it is understood that Albert of Aachen's work con-tains extremely valuable information for a period that is lacking in both Islamic and Turkish history.
