Abstract (EN)

In this thesis, process verification and improvement procedures of a wheel with high scrap and production problem have been performed. However, some data could not be included in this thesis due to company information security. After examining the data of the relevant wheel, the necessary design processes were made in the computer aided design program and then the setup was created in the computer aided engineering program. The mathematical model was created by meshing cubic in the computer-aided program that will use the related mold and wheel finite volume method. Later, a new wheel setting card for casting was created by performing optimization studies in computer. Old and new wheel setting cards for casting tested in casting. The analysis result and the sections taken from the casting wheels agreed with each other. As a result of the trial, process verification and process improvement operations were carried out. The purpose of process verification and process improvement processes is to reduce the number of scrap wheels and to use energy resources of our country in a healthier way and aim at a higher export capacity.
