Abstract (EN)
IV SUMMARY To satisfy the increased electrical energy requirements, besides to create new energy resources, using the existing resources efficiently is necessary. The one of the most important ways to achieve this, is Reactive Power Compensation. While the reactive power compensation has been done, the capacities of the generators, transformers and lines increase and also the voltage drops on the lines decrease. On the other hand there are some disadvanteges of the compensation. The most important problems are harmonics andresonance events occur due harmonics. In the second chapter, the load compensation requirements and mathematical equations are given. İn the other chapter, harmonics in compansated network are given. Harmonics currents are generated by non-linear loads. İn the sixth chapter the load compensation requirements and reactive power releationship are diccussed. Diyarbakır Telekom Santral building lines are examined for last year monthly consumption of active ans reactive energy quantity and according to these results, lines changing of cos
