Abstract (EN)
This study examines the tendency for infidelity and relationship beliefs in relation to perceived parental attitudes. The sample of the study consists of 340 individuals aged 18 and over. In this quantitative research conducted using the correlational survey model, data was collected through a personal information form, infidelity tendency scale, relationship beliefs scale, and perceived parental relationship attitudes scale. The analysis of the research data was conducted using the SPSS 24.0 program. Descriptive statistical analysis methods such as mean, standard deviation, median, frequency, percentage, minimum, and maximum were used in the evaluation of the research data. The normal distribution of quantitative data was tested through graphical examinations. Pearson's correlation analysis was used to evaluate the relationships between quantitatively continuous variables showing normal distribution. Independent samples t-test was used for binary group comparisons of normally distributed quantitative data, ANOVA test was used for comparisons involving three or more groups, and Tukey's HSD test was used as a complementary post-hoc analysis to determine differences. The results of the study indicated no significant differences between perceived parental relationship attitudes, relationship beliefs, infidelity tendency, and age, relationship status, relationship duration, and educational status variables. However, a significant difference was found in favor of males based on the gender variable. Furthermore, no significant relationship was observed between perceived parental relationship attitudes and infidelity tendency and relationship beliefs.
