The effects of algo?heuristic theory based blended learning environments on student?s computer skills in preparing presentations, attitudes towards computer and motivation levels for the information technology course

In this study, the effects of Algo?Heuristic Theory based blended learning environments on student?s computer skills in preparing presentations, levels of attitudes towards computers and levels of motivation for the information technology course was investigated. The research sample was composed of 36 students from 5/A class and 35 students from 5/B class total 71 students having Information Technology Course in Hüsnü M. Özyeğin Primary School located in Kırşehir in 2010?2011 academic year. The application of research was carried out on 5/B class students as experimental group in Algo?Heuirstic Theory based blended learning environment and 5/A class students as control group in traditional learning environment for 6 weeks.Semi?empirical design with Pretest?posttest and with control group was used. Research data was collected by using Academic Achievement Test (KR?20: 0,817), The Computer Attitude Scale for Primary School Students (Cronbach?Alfa: 0,784) and The Motivation Scale for the Information Technology Course (Cronbach?Alfa: 0,862). One way ANOVA was conducted on the all data collected and these results were emerged:Students' who studied in Algo?Heuristic Theory based blended learning environment achievements and motivation levels for the information technology course was raised, attitudes towards computers was effected as positive compared to the students who studied in traditional learning environment.
