Abstract (EN)
Language, which reflects a society's belief, lifestyle, point of view, creativity, worldview, etc., has recently gained importance as a guiding principle in cultural studies, as it is a symbolic guide to understanding culture. It became necessary to study the language of the nation not only with the help of linguistic methods, but also taking into account the history, culture, social life, worldview and mentality of this society. Cultural elements that symbolize a particular region or era are expressed only in that culture. However texts in this language should be used as a source when conveying information about the elements. In this respect, Ali Shir Nevâyî's works reflect the social, cultural and economic aspects of his period, his ancient history, in brief, the deep-rooted history of Turkish culture. Nevâyî's works, which artistically reflect the life experience of him, the historical period and the culture in which he grew up, are a mirror reflecting Turkish history, culture, art and social life of the that period, and a document testifying to this period. From this mirror, has been tried to be revealed the social, cultural and economic life of that period through vocabulary.
