Animal names in ʿAlî Shîr Navâʾî's Turkish diwans

Ali Şir Nevâyî the statesman and the most important literary figure of his era, who has been lived in age of a great empire in Central Asia of fifteenth century, is one of the milestone intellectuals of Turkish language and literature. Nevâyî, created many works in such a environment, in spite of the prevalence of Persian literature in the era that he lived as a literary man. Among his works and also the topic that be work of this thesis, with Turkish divans such as Ġarā'ibü'ṣ-Ṣıġar, Nevādirü'ş-Şebāb, Bedāyi'ü'l-Vasaṭ and Fevāyidü'l-Kiber, he both lead to poets and literary man his era and inspired many literary intellectuals that after successor. In this thesis, the name of animals will be defined in four great divan of Nevâyî. This animal names that will be investigated, will be handled the status of in Chagatai Turkish and the status of in old Turkish dialects. Also in that case to be the topic aforementioned of the origins of the animal names that take part in the four Turkish divans, will be evaluate the parallel of his attitude of that Nevȃyî compared the Turkish and the Persian languages by take into consideration.
