A case study on childhood traumas and child abuse of alcohol and substance addicts and use of alcohol and drugs

Physical, psychological and social abuse applied to children by society, family members or another person affect a child's psychological development and his future life in a negative way. . The crime is more associated with children, in general, indicates that the deterioration in terms of both moral and cognitive. Both in the world and in Turkey, it is seen that the effects on these people cause harmful behaviours and habits such as use of alcohol and drugs. On the other hand it is proved with conducted research that children face child abuse from their parents or relatives. According to my case study, there are significant differences in terms of physical neglect subscale scales between the cases of the use of the individual drug. While individuals who previously had used alcohol level was found to be higher than other individuals with physical neglect are significant differences between the situations subscale scores of individuals using drugs. In addition, it was found that individuals who use alcohol have higher levels of emotion neglect than others. In this research study, the relation between child abuse, disturbance and consequently traumatic stories and use of alcohol and drugs of adults have been examined. In addition, statistically proven cases and legal inabilities have been emphasized. It is aimed to contribute and to fight against traumas, child abuse and addiction.
