Abstract (EN)

The aim of this study is to determine whether the personality organizations of individuals who use substances are clustered at a certain level, to look at the difference between the personality organizations of individuals who use and not to use substances, to bring a psychodynamic perspective to substance use and to contribute to the literature. In this study, the relational survey research model was used. It was conducted with 543 participants between the ages of 18-65, using the simple random sampling method, through the sociodemographic information form and the Personality Organizations Inventory. Independent sample t-test, one-way Anova and chi-square analysis were used in the analysis of the research data. As a result of the analyzes made; It was determined that the general KOREN levels of the participants included in the study were at a low level with an average of 56.70±17.74. When the sub-dimensions of the scale were examined, it was determined that primitive defense levels were low with an average of 16.92±6.69, identity diffusion levels were low with an average of 22.30±7.64, and reality test levels were low with an average of 17.48±5.27.
