ABSTRACTThis research has been conducted to state the attitudes and behaviors of Turks inGermany towards drink consumption. In this research, questionnaire technique hasbeen applied to the 150 Turks, between 16-58 years old, living in Kreuzberg, Berlin,Germany. 58% of participants are male and 42% are female. 90% of the individualslive in a rented house. Almost half of the `Gastarbeiter?s (47.3%) works as workersand the rest (40.0%), being students, housewives and unemployed don?t work. Drinkconsuming time and drink consuming frequency of individuals have beendetermined. Turk in Germany mostly (86%) consume steeped black tea, and at amaximum degree, it is drunk at breakfast. Following tea, the other mostly consumeddrinks are coke and coffee. The difference about the filter coffee between theindividual who live in Germany for and above 15 years (2.23±2.14) and individualswho live in Germany below 15 years (1.30±1.78) makes sense / is meaningful(p<0.01). It has been determined that women consume diet coke (p<0.05) more thatmen, and men consume ready-made fruit juice more than women (p<0.01).Individuals below the high school level consume rose hip tea more than individualsat or above high school education level (p<0.01). 79.3% of individuals report thatthey drink milk. To prevent the `osteoporosis? appeared at advanced ages, most ofthe individuals agree with the importance of milk consumption (67.3%). Also whilebuying drinks, 70.7% of the individuals agree upon paying attention to the packagetype of the them; 21.3% of them are uncertain, and the rest, 8.0% of them disagreeupon this subject. Salep (a hot drink made with powdered salep) (11.5%) and boza(beverage made of slightly fermented millet) (8.7%) are the least consumed drinks.Between the alcoholic drinks, It has been stated that, beer is the most consumed are,and after this, wine, whisky and raki come. It has been determined that,approximately half of the individuals who join the questionnaire (49.3%) read thelabels on drinks. With this research, it is apparent that Turks in Germany have notenough information about the drinks.V
