Abstract (EN)

Gold can be defined as an immortal pure metal which can be preserved without losing any value from its own properties. Gold has become one of the most favorite metals since ancient times due to its basic specific features. In our country, important steps were taken beginning from the decade 1980?s in the fields of gold prospecting and enrichment. The drastic rise in the price of gold makes the attempts to increase gold efficiency more important in our day.In this study, the extraction of gold as pre-concentrate from Gümüşhane Mastra gold deposit through gravimetric methods were experimentally investigated. In the research part of the study, laboratory type Knelson and Falcon concentrators were used and the optimal operation parameters of these devices were determined at the highest gold efficiency and at a suitable gold grade. In the final part of the tests, GRG tests were carried out on the samples suitable for the characteristics of the ore in accordance with the test procedure depicted in the recent publication of Andre R. Laplante which is entitled ?Gravity Recovery Gold, GRG?. As a consequence of these tests, the total GRG amount was determined as percent 24.27 and percent 47.06 in knelson and falcon concentrators, respectively.
