Abstract (EN)
This research was planned to determine the relationship between the clinical decision-making levels of operating room nurses and their self-efficacy levels. The sample of the study consisted of 94 operating room nurses who agreed to participate in the study in a state university hospital in Ankara. Data were collected using Personal Information Form, "Clinical Decision-Making Scale in Nursing" and "General Self-Efficacy Scale". Data were analyzed using SPSS (Statistical Package Program for Social Science) 27.0 program. While the significance test (t-test) of the difference between two means was used to compare parametric variables, Mann Whitney U test and Kruskall Wallis H test were used to compare non-parametric variables. Pearson Correlation analysis was used to examine the relationships between variables. In the study, 80.9% (n:76) of the nurses were female and 19.1% (n:18) were male. 63.8% (60) of the nurses are married and 36.2% (34) are single individuals. When the educational status of the nurses participating in the study was evaluated; 9.6% (n:9) with an associate degree, 81.9% (n:77) with a bachelor's degree and 8.5% (n:8) with a master's degree. When nurses are classified according to the working time in the operating room; The rate of employees working for less than ten years is 46.8% (n:44), while the rate of employees working for ten years or more is 53.2% (n:50). The lowest score of the clinical decision making scale in nursing in this study was 81, the highest score was 129, and the mean score from the scale was 106.26 ± 12.69. The lowest score obtained from the General Self-Efficacy scale is 50, the highest score is 85, and the average score obtained from the scale is 69.62 ± 9.65. As a result, as the level of clinical decision making increases in operating room nurses, the level of self-efficacy belief increases.
