Abstract (EN)
Language is the most important means of communicating between people. It is thanks to language that people get to know each other, agree, and create a bond between them. A foreign language is the language that people learn after acquiring their mother tongue. Acquiring a mother tongue is a subconscious process that develops spontaneously and does not require extra effort. Learning a foreign language is a conscious process that occurs due to the needs of people. These needs may arise from many reasons such as the desire of individuals to develop themselves, economic, political and cultural. Teaching Turkish as a foreign language is one of the areas that is gaining momentum day by day. In many countries, Turkish is taught as a foreign language. One of these countries is Iran. In Iran, where neighborly relations have developed, Turkish teaching has been carried out for many years. Iranians make rapid progress in learning Turkish as a foreign language because of the language relations between Turkish and Persian, their common cultural heritage, and their interest and love for Turkey and Turkish. Iranians are particularly successful in skill areas such as speaking and listening, but they encounter various problems when it comes to writing skill, which is a basic field of activity in foreign language teaching. The last skill acquired in teaching Turkish as a foreign language is writing. While writing is the ability to express thoughts in a concrete way, writing skill is the ability to express thoughts in a planned and programmed manner in accordance with the rules of the language. Qualitative data collection techniques were used in our thesis, which was conducted as a descriptive study with scanning model. The data of the research were collected from the composition texts written to the students and trainees. In addition, data were collected through the interview technique conducted by the researcher with students and trainees. In our study, composition papers taken from the sample group were examined in order to determine the problems experienced by 30 Iranians whose mother tongue is Persian, who learned Turkish as a foreign language at B1 and B2 levels in Alanya Alaaddin Keykubat University TÖMER with private courses in Alanya in 2019-2020 and 2020-2021. and taking into account the difficulty of reaching students and trainees due to the corona virus (COVID-19), which caused life to stop all over the world, sampling was carried out with the "cluster sampling" approach. In addition to the examinations, the interview data with the sample group were analyzed in detail. Problems related to writing skills taken from the sample group were discussed under 4 main headings: problems related to morphology, problems related to phonetics, problems related to syntax, and problems related to spelling and punctuation. Student and trainee opinions were also taken into consideration and comments were made about mistakes. In addition, mistakes that are not related to the relevant title are indicated in bold and the correct form of the sentence is added next to it in parentheses. As a result of our study, the problems faced by Iranians at B1 and B2 levels, whose mother tongue is Persian, were analyzed comparatively and quantitative and qualitative data were revealed. Based on these data, evaluations were also made in terms of guiding the researchers.
