Abstract (EN)
In this study as a Master's thesis, generally I wanted to present the mythicalpersonality of Demeter and the cult of Demeter. Firstly, I started my study byinterpreting mythical personality of Demeter and the characters associated with her. Inaddition, I tried to interpret the well-known examples of the temples built for Demeterand the cult of Demeter, and the descriptions of Demeter reflected in the art ofsculpture and the art of ceramic. I concluded my study by explaining the mythologyof Korea?s, Demeter?s daughter, being kidnapped by Hades with the consent of Zeusand the reasons why Korea gained the role as an intermediary between theunderground and ground.The formation phase of my thesis consists of the compilation of thepublications such as books, articles.
