Student selections applied at Music Branch of Anatolian High School of Fine Arts, the number of which reached 54 by 2007, formed the universe of the study. The sampling of the study which is thought to be the representative of the universe was composed of student selections which are being applied at 7 Coordinator Anatolian High School of Fine Arts determined by the Ministry of Education General Directorate of Secondary Education. Taking into consideration the fact that the selected schools' being coordinator, it is thought that enough data was obtained which is the representative of the universe. In this study, in which descriptive research model was used, data was obtained by means of scanning, survey and interview tools, analyzed using SPPS 10.0 with descriptive statistics methods and the findings were converted into tables. In this study, the following results were found under the titles regulation, application, Special Skills Examination and its content, and quota. Some changes were made about the regulations while this study was being carried out. The item ?It is required that the General Point Average (GPA) is at least 3.00 for the students graduated from a primary school? which is one of the items for application requirements of Anatolian High School of Fine Arts is no longer available in recent regulations and circular. According to the suggestions of sampling groups, the applications requirements should overlap with the rationale for foundation of the school, physical barriers should be examined closely and GPA as a requirement for application should be put into operation again. Music teachers who composed the sampling group found that the calendar for the selection of students is not appropriate for student selections. About this issue, it was stated that the conditions of the season have negative effect on the exam committees and student candidates and some suggestions were made for the fact that examinations should cover the evaluation of June and September. It is useful to determine the general frame of examination format with a centralized workshop. This format should be put into operation in the new regulations. Music teachers who composed the sampling group found that the candidates applied in 2006-2007 is not enough in terms of their number and level of readiness. About this issue, there is a need for the courses preparing students for the examinations. It was observed that all Anatolian High School of Fine Arts Schools accept students through Special Skills Examination and all these examinations are conducted through oral exams. According to the opinions and suggestions of sampling groups about the quality of Special Skills Examinations, the ones conducted in our country are structured and applied for not only the evaluation of skills but also the proficiency levels of candidates. About the content of the Special Skill Examination, evaluations in the field of musical hearing and repeating skill/musical memory, musical playing and musical singing are made in coordinator schools. In addition to these evaluation fields, different applications were observed in two Anatolian High School of Fine Arts Schools. Moreover, many different applications were made about the naming, grading and evaluations of these content. In Anatolian High School of Fine Arts Schools except for the metropolitan ones it was observed that the quota could not be reached and especially in 2005-2006 Educational Year there were not enough students at schools. The number 24 which was determined as the quota was found to be appropriate but this number cannot be reached at some schools as a result of insufficient applications. Besides, the number 24 was found to insufficient by the music teachers in some cities like Ankara, stanbul and zmir. Music teachers who composed the sampling group did not agree on the completion of quota numbers through application and acceptance way.
