Abstract (EN)
Anatolian folktales are a symbolic manifestation of hopes, experiences, practical intelligence, emotions and character of the centuries of Anatolian people. Folktales which hears the warnings of the subconscious mind just like dreams; but it do not this with the sense of reality of subconscious, but with the unlimited possibilities of symbols. Anatolian folktales are not just a cultural heritage. Their intense symbolic expression, impressiveness and possitive orientitation to ethical values allow these folktales to be used functionally. By making use of the opportunities provided by the science of psychology, this folktales can contribute to the positive orientation of children who are our future. We wanted the show that this situation is possible with the practices we carried out in this study, that by using Anatolian folktales, it is possible to obtain information about the existing mental state of children and to provide positive guidance to children.
