The effects of women on social, religious and cultural life in the Anatolian Seljuk State (XI. - XIV. century)

In history, Turks have established many states in pre-Islamic and post-Islamic periods. One of the most important of these states is the Anatolian Seljuk State, which was founded by Süleymanşah in 1075. The Anatolian Seljuk State has the greatest contribution in making Anatolia a Turkish homeland and in carrying Turkish culture to Anatolia. This state, which has become a great power politically, has played an important role in the development of scientific and cultural life in Anatolia. State, has encouraged science and supported scientists. Anatolian Seljuk Sultans have left important architectural works of art with the structures built in the architectural field. In addition to the Anatolian Seljuk Sultans, women constitute an important part of those who support scientific and cultural life. while most of these women are the Seljuk meliks and the Seljuk Sultans' wives, the other part is the wives, daughters and brides of the prominent scholars of the period. Since resources are insufficient, it is not possible to examine in detail about the effects of women living in the rural areas. In this study, which aims to examine the place and influence of women in the social sphere, as well as the effects of women in the scientific and cultural fields during the Anatolian Seljuk period The occupations of women in the relevant period, the occupational groups they established and their socialization areas are also discussed. Finally, the effects of women in the field of art are mentioned. The women who write poetry, who are interested in dance and music and who support the painters constitute the last part of the study.
