Analysis of the effect of athletics branches' personality attributes on motivation for success

In this study, the examination of the effects of the personal characteristcis of the athletes to success motivation. is aimed. This is a descritive study which used scanning model in it. Scanning model is a examination way that to describe the situation which happened in the past or still exists currently. (Karasar, 2002) The research is made on 342 athletes,( 104 of them are national athletes) that they still go on their carer in Ankara, Antalya and Mersin. Demographic information form and Sport-specific Succuss Motivation, adapted to Turkish by Tiryaki and his friends (1997) and developted by Willis (1982) and also developted by Eysenck (1975), abbreviated by Francis and his friends (1992), adapted to Turkish by Karancı and his friends (2007) Revised/Abbreviated Eysenck's personality questionnaire form is used. The obtained data were analyzed by SPSS 23 package program. Percent and frequency calculation is used in analyzing informations By gender and nationality, comparisons are done with Many Whitney U test. Comparisons according to age and income situation are done with Kruskal Wallis H test.Differences results from comparisons were determined by the Turkey HSD test. A Correlation analysis was used to determine the relationship of the subfactors of the scales to each other. It can be concluded that there is a close relatıonshıp between the athletic motivation of the athletes and the personality characteristics of the athletes who are traumatized.
