Abstract (EN)

This thesis prepared under the title of 'Research on Anamorphic Art and Ceramic Applications' began with the curiosity for the art works that based on illusion that depend on visual perception that created with perspective. The source of the design ideas of anamorphic art; inspired from the subject of the first example according to anamorphic art history researches. While searching anamorphic art history; its been encountered various scenes that represent; kings, politicians, political figures or components and religious beliefs. First examples of this art have characteristics of the illusion technique of 'Anamorphic Perspective'. After that, its been produced with the intention of emerging the real visual image distorted images are reflected on cylindrical and conical shaped mirrors as known as 'Anamorphic Mirror' illusions. Today; this art becoming widespread in plastic arts, architecture and street art; the art that produced with the anamorphic perspective effects usually appears ass applications in wide areas. The compositions that created with the help of mirrors, the drawings that distorted with the plane areas that have certain edges or two or three dimensional deformed forms mirrors that reveals the real visuals. Designs applied in this study; the common Christian faith's seven deadly sins have been illustrated on the basis of the anamorphic art. Its been aimed to reveal the original compositions on deformed images on ceramic forms and been helped by various tools for looking from certain angles.
